"I will look into this further and decide if anyone needs to go out there,
but no matter what I decide that person will not be YOU."
"You have two perfectly capable people to look into it, two people that are
closest to Jane," Julia took the phone from his hand and put it back into
his jacket pocket and then put her hands on her hips "And Nick's plan is not
reckless. They have the excuse of Philip checking in with his parish in
Boston and Kristin getting Amber's records. Nick can have them wired and be
there for backup if it's needed... and you're telling them no without even
giving it a fair shot.
"Derek," Julia faced him, tone quiet because she realized his concern - even
if she did think it was hindering what should be done in this case "Calling
them or anyone on the phone could very well alert Jane IF what's being said
is true. Jane's not stupid, she has her own information network in the
Legacy just like you or even your mother has. We have to keep this to
ourselves or we risk it leaking out and getting back to her. And we both
know that the Jane WE know would never hurt someone like Amber's been hurt."
Julia wasn't too keen on them debating like this in the open so turned and
slid her hand into his, directing them toward the Control Room.
"So we're facing either someone possessing her," Julia listed the options "A
Doppelganger or something else taking her place, Jane going insane, mass
illusion or it never having happened."
"And let's be frank here. If something had happened to you, people wouldn't
be calling in third parties to check on it, they would be asking ME to see
if you were any different." She pointed out once they were inside the
Control Room "Because I know you. First hand see you. Derek, letting them
go is the best way we're going to know if it is in fact Jane or not.
"I could really use a chili dog about now..." she added in there, the
craving for one hitting in mid-talk.
