It was instinct only that led Derek to the vault in the basement. He
ignored the odd looks given to him by various staff members as they passed.
He was a bit irked with the paper in general. How could they allow such a
thing to happen? Why wasn't there some fail safe system so people inside
could get out?
Derek led Nick to the door. "JULIA," he shouted. "ALEX? YOU"RE GOING TO
BE ALL RIGHT." He was saying this more for himself than for them, not even
sure if they could hear in there.
