Julia knew this was coming and couldn't stop the blush that touched her cheeks as she set her glass down. Drinking now would only make her choke.
"I, um.. " she cleared her throat before admitting "The guy that was supposed to cover the sports got sick at the last minute and I was the only one in the office." She did cough a little, despite the fact she hadn't taken a drink and make herself finish, her words low and an almost rush "An interview that was supposed to be done outside the lockerroom ended up inside with the mad winning rush of the football team and since I went wearing a jersey and a baseball cap.. no one knew they were being interviewed by me until they were into their second chorus of blue moon...." Derek couldn't help but laugh. He reached out and took her hand squeezing it. "I suspect they were as embarrassed as you were," he assured her. "Any idea what you'd like for dinner?"
