Derek nodded in agreement and motioned for the waiter to bring the cart over.
"What's your pleasure," he asked completely ready to defer to her preference. Julia looked at the nearby cart, then admitted, chin in hand "They all look good, I'll have whatever you fancy." Derek began to laugh, "I was hoping you would make the decision," he admitted. "We could very well be here all night." He then looked at the waiter. "What do you recommend?" The waiter lifted a plate with a gigantic piece of creme puff cake on it. "It is the chef's specialty," he said. Derek considered this thoughtfully and nodded, so the waiter put it down on the table before him. Derek moved the candle in the center of the table replacing it with the plate.
