Philip remembered the times they had spent talking about the young man that had died at the hands of a demon, former Legacy member, Reed Horton. It was nothing less than the fire of vengence that had brought Kristin back into the Legacy to get back at him. Thankfully, it had been something more that had kept her. "An' now they want an answer." he surmised and sighed thoughtfully "Have ye, well have ye considered a leave of absence te think it over?"
With a half-sigh, she shook her head. "No, I'm not sure that option would even work." Meeting his gaze, Kristin continued. "I...I don't think I could stay in Boston at all; at first, I thought staying here would keep me closer to Ethan. But...all it would do is keep all the memories of his death fresh." she stumbled a little over those words. "And then I think of San Fransisco; how close I've gotten to everyone-almost like a family," her voice was soft and she smiled, then frowned. "But, being with the Legacy is also a constant reminder--it was Legacy business that got Ethan...well. And on top of all that, I'm not sure it would be a good idea for me to be there with-" she cut herself off and dropped her gaze to her hands again. It was wonderful to be talking this over with Philip, but she'd almost told him how hard it would be to be in the same House as him, considering her feelings for him. She'd lose the close friendship they shared if he ever figured that one out. She recovered herself. "It just seemed so right when I left the Legacy...and now there's no more revenge...and I just don't know what's left." __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
