"And then I think of San Fransisco; how close I've gotten to everyone-almost like a family," her voice was soft and she smiled, then frowned. "But, being with the Legacy is also a constant reminder--it was Legacy business that got Ethan...well. And on top of all that, I'm not sure it would be a good idea for me to be there with-" she cut herself off and dropped her gaze to her hands again. It was wonderful to be talking this over with Philip, but she'd almost told him how hard it would be to be in the same House as him, considering her feelings for him. She'd lose the close friendship they shared if he ever figured that one out.
She recovered herself. "It just seemed so right when I left the Legacy...and now there's no more revenge...and I just don't know what's left." Philip swallowed and lowered his gaze. That had been something he hadn't told her: His opinion concerning what had truly killed Ethan. Perhaps now would be the right time to say. "Kristin, I, well I am going te tell you something and I hope ye don't take offense." he said before looking up and meeting her gaze "But it is not th' Legacy that killed Ethan. It was the darkness they fight. That we fight. Ye cannae go on blaming somethin' that's not at fault. Reed Horton made the choice to kill and him alone, in service of the evil we all fight." _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
