Derek did in fact turn red only slightly at first. Then beet red. He did manage a smile when Julia spoke of intimacy, but the color in his face increased even more at that. It was pretty personal stuff to be talking about to a virtual stranger.
He didn't realize the doctor was looking at him from a response until she had been eying him for a moment. He ran a hand across his face and cleared his throat. "She's right." he said finally, leaving it at that. The doctor turned her attention back to Julia, sparing Mister Rayne what embarrassment she could even as she made the decision not to ask anymore personal questions. It was obvious what Julia Rayne's emotional environment was. "I see here you've already experienced nausea," she commented "I bet you're glad that part is over, hmm?" "Oh yeah." Julia agreed, grinning sheepishly and giving Derek's hand another squeeze "But Amelia's pretty comfortable where she's at now.. even to the point she kicks it up when her Pappa's talking to her." The doctor smiled at that and asked him curiously "Have you noticed being ill or nauseous around the same time as your wife?"
