It was about time, Derek thought and he nodded in agreement.  They were
getting a little too close to things now.  It made sense that his illnesses
were connected to the sight.  But he couldn't think about that here in front
of these strangers.

The doctor picked up the black cloth used to take blood pressure and put it
about Julia's arm, pumping it up until, tight about the woman's arm, she
released it and waited.

A moment later she wrote the results in her folder "Looks good."

She then went to the corner of the room and brought back a trolley that held
the ultrasound machine.

There was enough room on the table for Julia to lay down without Derek
having to move so she did.

Moments later Amelia's heartbeat filled the room.
