"No it does not," Derek assured him. "That's
perfectly understandable. If it looks like it's going
ot take some time, you can come back with the others
or I can arrange a commercial flight."

"It shouldn't take long," Bryce said, knowing the
perfect man for the job. He pulled his cell phone
from the pocket of his parka and dialed up the only
man he trusted to run his father's store.

"Hello?" Keyle Redcrow's voice came in on the other
side.

"Kyle, its Bryce," the photographer identified
himself.

"Bryce?! Where have you been? I have been trying to
reach your apaprtment since I got back."

"I'm here, In Nome, I got here this morning."

"Why? Well that's not important. I have something I
must tell you," The Native american;s voice grew
grimly serious. "On the trip up to the whitewolf
cave, your father was-"

"I know," Bryce said, cutting his friend off,
partially because he couldn;t handle hearing the news
again. "I just need you to meet me in the store in
about half an hour."

"I'll be there."

"Thanks Kyle," Bryce said. He hung up the phone and
pulled his jacket back on. "I'm going to take a taxi
to the store," he said. "Anyone care to tag along?"
