There are a few Real<*> and IEEEReal regression tests from MLton's suite:
  http://mlton.org/cgi-bin/viewsvn.cgi/mlton/trunk/regression/?rev=HEAD
The two that specifically use IEEEReal.setRoundingMode are
"ieee-real.sml" and "real-str.sml"; but, I'm afraid that they are no
more extensive than the test that you wrote.
