Albums are jarring to listen to in their entirety:

Stereo Total; My Melody - I'd love this if it were two separate albums with
all the softer or electronic songs on one and all the louder songs on
another. Chances are I will *never* be in the mood to hear both "joe le
taxi" and "I love you Ono" in one sitting.

Momus; The Philosophy of Momus - "the madness of lee scratch perry"
Momus;Stars Forever - "Natsuko Tayama"

Figurine;(I dont remember the name of their disc) - Not noise exactly, but I
get tired of the long talking segment in "My First UFO", & even though I
love the song I usually skip to the next one at that point.

And I completely agree with Damien's friend about B&S's "me and the major."
I hate that song! I might like it if it were on a different release.
(Actually I find all the belle & sebastian cds a little hard to listen to in
one sitting, except for the "modern rock song" ep. They have so many great
songs, but, IMO, the albums themselves arent at all cohesive.)

And though it's not pop, Nature & Organization have a beautiful song called
"a dozen winters of loneliness" which is very slow and drifty, with a loop
of an asian woman repeating the word "loneliness" in the background as david
tibet speaks french softly.....it's beautiful and long, but six or seven
minutes in, there's a big noise section that goes into some stupid sampled
country song that totally destroys the mood.

Eternally,
eien
