I think Bugman does that on Blur's album, 13. You've
opened up with an incredible song like Tender, the
likes of Coffee & TV, Caramel, 1992 and No Distance
Left to Run are to come - and then you have Bugman. It
just doesn't work on that album. To be honest, as much
as I love them, Bugman just sounds like a pretty bad
version of Bowie's Suffragette City. I think it would
have worked on "Blur" though.
But, B.L.U.R.E.M.I. seems to fit - weird!!! It does
start kinda quiet - you warm into it. I guess it's
because it's your typical crazy Blur track like
Intermission or something - that must make it a little
easier to deal with.
Oh, and if any Canadian popjournists have been to see
an Australian band called The Whitlams in the last few
weeks, I'd love to know what you thought of them...
