Festen was far and away the best that I've seen. Can't decide
whether I liked Mifune better than Julian Donkey Boy, having seen
Julian for a second time just last night. The Idiots came off the
weakest for me, plenty of good moments nonetheless, but I'm still not
quite sure what the motivation was beyond shock value and the joy of
"spassing" (I always thought it was with a double "z", but what do I
know about spelling?). But visually lacking, perhaps.

Visuals (& style) is where Julian Donkey Boy excels...much of it is
beautiful to look at, and I like Korine's collage style, reminding me
of the wonderful Dusan Makavejev minus the politics with and more
serious and aggressive sense of humor.

Mifune's got a stronger story, stronger acting, perhaps a bit easier
to relate to...

Saw Gummo last night too (which I really liked, ditto the above), but
the thing that struck me is that I've never seen so many hipster kids
at the cinema...hardly anyone over 25. Someone suggested that
Gummo's set to be the midnight movie for the next generation, a new
Rocky Horror, everyone in shaggy haircuts and, well, spassing...
