But if my current way of applying a content filter is not correct, then
with "correct" config like in examples:

smtp inet n - n - - smtpd
-o content_filter=lmtp:unix:/var/run/dspam.sock

if you write it taht way it is completly wrong

smtp inet n - n - - smtpd
-o content_filter=lmtp:unix:/var/run/dspam.sock

versus

smtp inet n - n - - smtpd
 -o content_filter=lmtp:unix:/var/run/dspam.sock

the space before -o means the previous line is continued

what you really want to achieve is the following and the breaks with ident are for better readability

smtp inet n - n - - smtpd -o content_filter=lmtp:unix:/var/run/dspam.sock
