Does clipmate handle copies to and pastes from the clipboard of application data, say some cells from an Excel work sheet or a piece of a Visio diagram, even when the corresponding program is shut down after the clipboard operation occurs? > > Maybe a clip.clipptr might be possible, certainly would be useful =) > > Probably a bruce, or MiscPlugin author question =) I think that what happens behind the scenes is that Windows stores a "Data Object" on the clipboard and that object knows how to persist itself to a file, and to do other things like provide a text or rtf version of itself (which is what I use now). I am not sure if the object depends on having its original program around and running in order to provide these services. Anyway, I'm afraid its too much work for me to consider this type of expansion for the general case for now. It would be possible to write a plugin as a clipboard monitor, if someone wanted to do that. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Make a clean sweep of pop-up ads.
