A good trouble-shooting technique is to rename your PowerPro folder to
something like OldPP, then do a clean PowerPro install. Create a note with
the clean install and see if you crash. If you don't, try copying your old
notes (in OldPP) over one at a time until you find one that crashes PP. If
none of them crashes, try deleting your Notes folder in OldPP and replace it
with the one from the fresh install. It's possible that one of your notes
files is corrupted.
