There also seems to be a PP builtin called paper. However, this doesn't seem to work if you set the background to a png (in xp) and probably a jpg as well. For example, mine says c:\documents and settings\brian\local settings\application data\microsoft\wallpaper1.bmp when I set it to a png, but it says what I expect it to when I set it to a bitmap.
