Hello Alan Campbell, Now you've got me confused.
In your first message you asked for two icons: > I'd like one as the default for dialogs launched from > the dialog plugin, and another for the dialog layout > manager I'm working on. But in your second message you seem to be saying that you will not be using one as a default for the dialogs, only one for the manager. The icons for the user-made dialogs are just something to make available for the user to specify, if they wish to. Alan M >> PowerPro itself will not use them, but your plugin will. Alan C: > No, plugin won't, not unless script writer wants it to. Just be nice > to have a few choices for users of dialog plugin to use for their > elegant productions... and also in response to my writing about which one to choose as the default for the dialogs: > Just a matter of giving dialop plugin users some options. The more > options the merrier, I would have thought. and > Users can use any old icon they want for their dialogs, and may wish > to use stuff utterly different from powerpro (if for instance they > want an eye-catching icon that instantly indicates dialog's purpose). > One or two pp-like icons a good idea. Does that mean you have changed your mind about wanting a specific icon as default for the dialogs? I presume the dialogs will have a presence on the TaskBar, in Windows Alt-Tab[hold] display, which is icons only (32x32), and on PowerPro active bars, which are often icons only. If the user does not specify an icon, and you don't program the dll to use a default icon of its own, then what will be displayed in those places? Something will be. I guess one of the system's default icons or maybe powerpro.exe,0 will be displayed there. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> See what's inside the new Yahoo!
