This sounds right, although I am a bit surprised that mis-using the LL 
hook also affects the older-style hook I use (LL hooks were invented 
after PowerPro and I have had PowerPro issues in trying to make 
PowerPro use them).

One point in case it is not clear:  this type of behavior by any 
program means it is not following Windows programming conventions.  If 
the program is written correctly, it does not interfere with other 
programs's use of hooks.
