This sounds right, although I am a bit surprised that mis-using the LL hook also affects the older-style hook I use (LL hooks were invented after PowerPro and I have had PowerPro issues in trying to make PowerPro use them). One point in case it is not clear: this type of behavior by any program means it is not following Windows programming conventions.
