"file" is a function (ie service) in the clip plugin. "clip.file" is not. But I doubt that you are interested in a discussion of English minutiae. If you just want a list of full functions names, look at pprofunctions.txt in powerpro folder. (where clip. _is_ missing and will be fixed).
