Hi, the last time I have started Windows XP, PPro refused to run, telling that the config file is locked by another program. I had this problem before and I have written about it, without being able to solve it. It happens every 5-6 boots. Then I start PPro by hand and I get back my top bar where all my shortcuts sit.
Unfortunately, after the last time, when I have started PPro by hand, I cannot get the bar visible. If I set its position on the right (full screen) or left It appears on the screen (but it is not really usable, because too large). But if choose To or Bottom of the screen as position, the bar is not visible and it does not become visible if I bump to the edge (I have tested it anyway, even if I have not hidden the bar). The property Auto load as bar is checked in Ppro configuration and I can see that PPro is active when I relaunch it because I can see it in the process list, or get a Shift+right click on desktop menu that I have configured. Just the bar disappears and I do not know how to get it back (I have played with several configuration options like the height of the buttons but this does not change anything and I have now set it back to zero...). I would be very grateful if you could help me to locate what hinders the bar from showing; this is the main feature that I use in PPro (plus other functions like contextual menus and snippets of course ;-) ).
