Isn't stil32jp.dll optional, and wallpaper changes work for bmps without it? I'll experiment with it later. Unless you're talking about the one that didn't use gdiplus, the smaller version targeted 2000 and above, while the 10K version targets 98 and above. They were compiled with vc 2005. The one without gdiplus had a mysterious glitch where wallpaper changes quit happening after awhile even though the bmp file continued to be generated. Regards, Sheri
