Ok, I understand. Probably best just to mention availability of the alternate version of the dll. If I still used 98 I think I would probably prefer the 256 color conversion because of the resource memory required for larger bmp files. Regards, Sheri PS, MS doesn't support 98 any more. VS 2008 can't even compile for it.
