hiya,

one of the suggestions I get when running powertop (both Fedora 11 and
from today's SVN) is:

Suggestion: Enable wireless power saving mode by executing the following
command
:
  echo 5 > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/iwl3945/0000:02:00.0/power_level

The wireless interface however is turned off:

# cat /sys/bus/pci/drivers/iwl3945/0000\:02\:00.0/power_level
6 (AC) OFF

The suggestion, obviously, does not work:

# echo 5 > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/iwl3945/0000\:02\:00.0/power_level
-bash: echo: write error: Resource temporarily unavailable

Wouldn't it be better to not give this suggestion at all if the
power_level is set to 'OFF'?
