If you simply allow your email program to repeat an entire post in a reply,
all recipients are also blessed with a copy of the advertising links at the
bottom of the page. This needlessly bloats the list, especially in digest
form, when likely as not, several people have done exactly as you.

Many on this list use low speed modems, do not have free internet access or
inexpensive flatrates, and have limited HD space. For others, it is simply a
bother to read through material that has already been posted but has little
to do with what you wish to say. It also increases the size of the archive.
It is merely a courtesy to take the few extra seconds not to do this.

 I'm not sure of other mail programs, but if I simply highlight a bit of
text, then hit "answer" in Entourage, the selected text is already there
marked as a citation.
