In my telnet app (NiftyTelnet) one can paste from the Mac clipboard into the
running remote app. It's handy when quoting in Pine, for instance.

Also, ^k will delete all the text on the current line after the cursor, in
case you didn't know that already.

I know what a pain this can be. I too use telnet to access my email at
Arizona.

Ironically, this thread is self-defeating and counter productive. Haven't
we already wasted too much space in people's inboxes? And didn't Dan send a
post to each LEM list just the other day about quoting too much anyway? Why
the redundancy? My advice - let sleeping dogs lie. This is a good way to
start flame wars. When people quote too much, Dan lets them know off-list,
anyway. It happened to me a few times last week (though I differ in my
opinion of my quoted text).

Peace,
Drew

While not disagreeing with the intent of your post, it should be noted
that it isn't necessarily that simple using other email apps. In my unix
app PINE, for instance, highlighting doesn't do what it does in Entourage.
My only solution is to manually delete stuff line by line....
