Since so many of you use Opera and like it so much, I decided to go ahead and test it out. This thing is really fast! The interface is quite clean and nice, and once I figured out how the cookie filter worked, I had no problems. I can also do internet banking, which for some reason, iCab still cannot do. However, there are several features I miss when comparing it to iCab: (1) I cannot stop animation. (2) I cannot filter banners, though I can load a page and click off all graphics. (3) I couldn't get anything with Java to function (tested out a Zone game and Yahoo chat) and none of the plugins seemed to work. (4) No drag-and-drop to save an image. An image can be saved through a contextual menu, but the file appears in a proprietary form which I have to use GraphicConverter to convert to a standard jpg or whatever. (5) There is no easy way to change the font size of a displayed page, as there is in IE or iCab. On http://lowendmac.com/techref/010508.html , I got a strange dark blue background with black type: totally unreadable. Iclean does not recognize any Opera files, so I had to delete history, cookies, and cache by hand. I would assume Aladdin will do an update to include Opera. -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
