DOH! Forgot all about that (and how many times have I told people that 
in answer to 'Why won't my CD player play music on my (non-soundcard 
equipped) PC?..;-)

Actually the Reno serves quite well as a CD player...that's the duty 
mine pulled for a couple of years on my desk at work...just plug 
headphones or amplified speakers into the headphone jack on it.
