I finally acquired a SCSI adapter for my powerbook 540. The 'book came with a Reno cd player/drive that I can now connect. But, if I connect it one way (dock I think) I get the scsi logo scrolling across the screen on startup, and the other way I get the "?".
What am I doing wrong? Do I need a different CD driver? I'd like to start up from this drive if possible to do a clean install of OS 8.0. Thanks for all your help!
