Hi listers, Recent posts about PCMCIA's have got me thinking of getting one for my PB 540 (don't have or want the PPC upgrade, so don't need the "diamond encrusted" :-> rev. C). Three questions: 1-besides being able to use a faster modem card than my built in GV 19K modem and being able to read compact flash cards, what other useful things can you do with a PCMCIA card? 2-do you need separate software to enable the PB 500 to see the card, or does it just show up on the desktop? 3-Would I have trouble finding non-PPC modem software for a modem card?
cheers, Don Silver ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Make a great connection at Yahoo!
