Sounds about right. The 520 series have 25 MHz 68LC040's, the 540's have 33
MHz CPUs.

Well, that shouldn't be too hard, they're still pretty common.

Yes, Pilottech, the people that made docks for just about any PowerBook
model, made one for the 500 series, too. No longer available from them,
though, so you'll have to hunt one down second-handed.

Well, since the PowerBook 500 series was a major breakthrough in portable
computing because it was the first portable to offer features comparable to
a contemporary desktop machine, that shouldn't powe too much of a problem.

The regular Mac download sites should be able to provide you with all the
software you'll need. Try some PowerBook sites, too, for PowerBook-specific
stuff.

The 500 series ("Blackbird") is quite a popular PowerBook, so there are
plenty of web sites dedicated to it. Google should get you started on that
track.
