I thought the real problem wasn't so much being
Cardbus enabled.  Like you, I thought you could load
the proper drivers and get away with that... But I
thought the problem was more that the PCMCIA Card Cage
that is installed in the 3400 from the factory won't
accept some of the CardBus cards...  I think thats
what your paying the $99 for.... to get them to swap
out your cage...
