Apparently Newer (now defunct) sold their stock of 1400 upgrades to a company called TechnoWarehouse, LLC < www.technowarehousellc.com>. I recently purchased one for my 1400c/166 and it's working fine! TechnoWarehouse tested it before delivery to be sure it was okay. Possibly a safer bet than ebay.
