The following is the exact text from the REA re replacing the logic board:

PowerBook 5300 and PowerBook 190 computers:

* The AC power connector on the logic board can become loose or inoperative.
- Affected serial numbers: xx605xxxxxx and below
- Solution: Replace logic board.

If they didn't follow this protocol, there may be grounds for
reconsideration.  

Also, if anybody sent me anything tonight, please send again cause I had
some Remote Access problems. Thnx  Dave
