In regards to the shorting out of the powersupply. I have closely inspected with high powered magnifying glass the soldered contacts where the plug meets the logic board. It appears this was re-soldered at one time. I can see slim cracks here.
I am wondering if this is a replacement logic board or if Apple simply made a hap-hazard attempt to repair the joint when it previously went through the REA. Can somebody tell me if there is a difference between the original factory logic Board and the one they used to replace with in the REA? Are there any tell-tail marks I should look for? How can I tell if Apple actually replaced the logic board? The 603 chip is dated 1993. White Lettering Date on Logic Board is 1995 #820-0568-A Bar Code # is SF545P8755YA Time is of the essence with the REA deadline looming, so please respond soon. They turned me down earlier today, but if they didn't really replace the board in the first place, I have something to bargain with.
