It sounds like the oscillator of the power supply inside. If you remove
the battery while in sleep, or unplug the AC power adapter or both, the
whine should change or quit if this is so.

For a cure, you might try removing the keyboard and checking screws that
hold the heat sink on top of the CPU and the power supply board.
