The difference in price between a 540 and a 520 makes buying the 520 and upgrading uneconomical after you figure in your time, effots and buying and shipping the parts. Moreover, for the cost of buying a 540c and upgrading it to a PPC, you can get a 5300c. I've seen them go for as low as $125-$150.
