My Duo 230 has come up with a new trick. It makes this noise, kind of a
cross between a beep & a blat, seven times in a row. Then the disk spins
like it's booting up. It does this most of the time it's awake. Click on
a folder, you get the noise. Boot up, same thing. It didn't do this when
I first started playing around with it, so I'm wondering if I have
something starting to fail. Have played around with the system settings
but it doesn't seem to change this. I did run the upgrade for 7.1 (to
upgrade to 7.1.3) I'm thinking about upgrading to 7.5.5. I don't plan to
do anything serious with this machine until I can upgrade the RAM (4MB at
this point) and probably put in a new PRAM battery. Should I plan on a new
hard drive too?
