I did as you said.  The desktop is a 500 mgz Pentium with 128 mb RAM.  It ran
between 16.7 and 24.3 K/sec on the Quicken portfolio.  The PB3400/200/48 laptop
gets about 3.7-5.7 K/sec speeds on the same portfolio.  A test on the internet
said that the speed of the PB laptop is about 1/5 of the typical cable.  I wonder
how much more speed I would get with a MPC-200 from Macsense on my 3400.  If
anyone knows what I would gain before I spend $100 for the card, please let me
know.
