Hard to say for sure, but probably. The problem is you're taking the
power source's power, stepping it up to line level's 110-120V, then the
Duo's power brick is converting back down to what the Duo uses. You're
wasting a lot of power in that conversion.

I've thought about building a battery pack with a small car or
motorcycle battery with the Duo's car adapter attached. Wouldn't be
quite as portable, but fairly cheap and I have the parts readily
available.
