What is the SCSI id set to on the Micropolis?  If I recall correctly, the 520's HD is 
SCSI so the external SCSI drive needs to be set between #1-#6, avoiding any other SCSI 
device.  You might not have had a SCSI id conflict on the PC if it had an IDE drive.
