Hi all,
i just ran into a problem with my cute powerbook 520 : he refuses to recognize my SCSI hard drive. More explanations :
i've got : - a PB 520 wich works great - an internal Micropolis 1624 hard drive (SCSI, ID 5, 640 MB), it works perfectly with a PC - an external SCSI box (or whatever it's called, sorry for my not perfect English:-) in which i've put my HD - a HDi30/DB25 cable - a DB25/Centronics 50 SCSI adapter
i've plugged all that to my little PB but he refuses to boot : he just displays the floppy disk picture. I've tried with and without a terminator on the SCSI box : it's just the same. I'm pretty sure that the SCSI box is working : when a try with a CDROM player, i can boot and see the player in the apple system info (altought it doesn't mount any CD but that's another problem).
does anybody knoes what's happening ? i would be very grateful if you could lead me to at least a beginning of solution.
thanks in advance
mehdi
Could it be the deal that the 520 does not provide power for the terminator, so the external driver must do that?
