okay, now the duo crackles when i move the screen, and its
quite odd, like a cable is frayed or sumthing.  but it only
does this when the A/C adapter is unplugged. 

i reset the power manager, as explained on apples site, and
i even went as far as to unplug the PRAM and let it sit for
10 mins.  im stumped.  could it be my main battery?  should
i try battery amnesia?
