My sympathies, Fran:
I've long had a related problem trying to file share between
my OS 8.1 PB 190cs (which came on an incomplete set of floppies when
I inherited it) and my OS 9.1 6320. What's maddening is I'm actually
able to file share from my PB 190 TO my 6320 but not visa versa. In
other words, I get my 6320's icons appearing and functional on my PB
190's screen but all I get on my 6320's Chooser when I stroke it up
is "This Server IS Not Ready. Try Again." Though I should count my
blessings being able to file share at all for 6320 Synk back-up
purposes since my dog of a Orb Drive died, I'd like the assurance of
a two-way file share hook-up via printer port (even though it's slow
as molasses in January).
I suspect that something minor and arcane is missing in my OS
8.1 set-up which was long lost with the original set of OS 8.1
floppies. That's why I'm looking high and lower for a dealer who
handles a _Complete_ set of OS 8.1 floppies.
Good Luck! I know the headaches!
