That's interesting -- the battery part. Did you buy a new one or a reconditioned old one? I'm interested simply because my original one won't work for longer than 16 minutes or so -- even with the "reconditioning" program (run a number of times, under 7.6.1 and 8.1). I have hesitated buying a new (read: expensive) replacement battery because I've heard even they usually only last an hour or so. I'll be interested to see what other people on the list have to say about batteries (well, and about the IR too, as we've never been able to get our machines, both 1400cs, to communicate that way!) Great phrasing, BTW, "must be some other voodoo" I only wish that were the case! It would save money! =-)
