OK.. I found some info on the crystal hack..

http://homepage.mac.com/~schrier/pb3400.html

Only problem is I have no idea what part number I need for a crystal for my
3400/180.
I only want to take the Bus speed up to about 45Mhz . So do I purchase a
45Mhz crystal or do I get a 50Mhz and set the multiplier?
better yet.. what did you do? All the 3400's have the same Bus speed and
board so I should be able to use the same crystal you have.

thanks.
