I also use Jeremy's "Essential Control Strip" to observe the temperature of the CPU. It may run 2-4 F degrees warmer with the speedup, but maybe barely even that much. In otherwords, the heat did not bother me at all.
I got my crystals from www.digikey.com. http://www.rapidnet.com/~gmc/crystal.jpg I ordered several different frequencies, and found the fastest that would work, then backed down on increment as a margin of saftey. I have since sold my 3400/240@300MHz but now have a Kanga that I sped up from 250 to 275 MHz. One thing that I noticed after installing the crystal is that it would stop during Startup (first time only) then I restart using control-apple-power and then it would go. Every time I changed crystal speeds it did this the FIRST time, but then works fine ever after. Greg __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful.
