I've been living with this problem for a while, and using St. Clair's
"Sleeper" as a (not perfect) work-around. Does anyone know of a way to fix
this problem? It seems similar to the firmware problem of the firebooks,
but I couldn't find a similar fix on-line. Using OS8.1 on a 5300ce.
Ejecting the PCMCIA card doesn't make a difference. Thanks for any help.

Thom
