Woe is me. My puppy gave his opinion about all the time I've been tinkering with the PB lately by chewing up the non replaceable part of my 5300 powerbook 45w power adapter part no M3037. I can't get mad at him. He's 7 mos old, I have been spending a wee bit too much time with the computer stuff lately and, it was my fault for not supervising him well enough.
Anyways, I now have to replace this thing. Does anyone have a spare one floating about they might be willing to sell or swap for? Also, while there seems to be some issues with Apple original M3037 adapter, it also seems to be hard to come by. Many outfits are offering a Battery Technology Inc. product part no MC-Ps45. Is this an acceptible substitute? Prices are running between $65 - $90. Any wisdom here would be appreciated before I break down and drive overnight to Cleveland thru the snowstorms to get one that a store there has on hand. Just kidding! I think... AAARGH!
