Ouch!  If you've really got "irreplaceable" software (and naturally
everybody's got irreplaceable documents) you're playing with fire not making
the time and and going through the tedium of backing it up ASAP.
*Especially* since the PB is already acting iffy.  Your data could be gone
forever any day now.
